Laureys
Tim Laureys studied law for 5 years in Ghent (2000), followed by 2 years of a master’s degree in taxation in collaboration with Vlerick at Ghent University (2002), and 2 years of a master’s degree in corporate law at the KUB in Brussels (2004). He successfully completed all of his studies with distinction or high distinction.
During both master’s programs, he also worked full-time, including as a parttime assistant at Ghent University and as a lawyer at Stibbe law firm in Brussels (2001). He completed his internship with Master Henri Derycke (formerly Loeff Claeys Verbeke) in Ghent.
During that time, he also wrote several books and articles. Since his admission to the Bar in 2004 and the founding of the firm in 2005, he has been the managing partner and driving force behind the firm. He is usually the first point of contact and is involved in almost every case the firm handles.
